Interested in joining our lab? We welcome graduate and undergraduate students.

 

For undergraduate students:

We would love to have you join our team, but openings fluctuate. We’re currently at capacity, but you can fill out this form to be put on the waitlist.

For graduate students:

  • Unfortunately we’re not taking any students this year.

  • If you are interested in starting graduate school in Fall 2024, please apply to the USC Office of Graduate Admissions. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the USC Department of Psychology website which provides lots of helpful information regarding admission, formal requirements, and financial aid.

  • We highly recommend getting relevant research experience by joining a lab doing similar work as we do. You should also build a solid foundation of knowledge in cognitive development and, ideally, philosophy of mind. A knack for research methods and statistics is critical as well.

  • We are looking for people with an excellent academic record, demonstrated ability, and matching research interests. You should have a strong intrinsic motivation for experimental work, engaging with data sets, reading, and writing.

  • If you are selected by the admissions committee, you will be invited to our departmental prospectives weekend, where you will meet scientists, lab members, students, and staff. So please apply, and if the admissions committee selects you, you will be invited.
