Requirements
Applicants must submit the USC Graduate Admission application, along with:
- 3 letters of recommendation
- A statement of purpose
- A resumé or CV
- Official transcripts
- English Proficiency Test Scores (international applicants only)
We do not require GRE tests.
Prerequisites
Applicants should have a Bachelor of Science degree in a mathematics-intensive field. Prerequisites for the program include:
- Calculus
- Multivariable calculus
- Linear algebra (USC’s MATH 225 or MATH 235 or an equivalent course elsewhere)
- Undergraduate-level introduction to Mathematical Statistics and Probability (USC’s MATH 307 Statistical Inference and MATH 208x Elementary Probability and Statistics, or an equivalent course elsewhere)
Deadlines
Applications are accepted only for a Fall semester start.
SEPTEMBER 1st: Applications open
FEBRUARY 15th: Applications due
