Welcome to USiL!

USIL is an undergraduate student organization at USC dedicated to the enrichment of linguistics students’ academic experience. The organization was founded in 2000 for a sense of support and community among undergraduates. USIL has been providing information on graduate school, as well as career opportunities for those who plan to pursue linguistics after graduation, and feedback on the curriculum to the department’s undergraduate committee.

Statement on Academic Conduct and Support Systems

Academic Conduct:

Plagiarism – presenting someone else’s ideas as your own, either verbatim or recast in your own words – is a serious academic offense with serious consequences. Please familiarize yourself with the discussion of plagiarism in SCampus in Part B, Section 11, “Behavior Violating University Standards.” Other forms of academic dishonesty are equally unacceptable. See additional information in SCampus and university policies on scientific misconduct.
