The USC Korean Studies Institute is launching a new graduate exchange program with Columbia University’s Center for Korean Research. Under this program, three to five advanced graduate students from each institution will participate every year in a work-in-progress workshop under the mentorship of Columbia and USC faculty. Along with networking, participation in the program will provide students with valuable feedback on a dissertation chapter or a draft journal article.
Developed as a companion program to the Pacific Graduate Conference, the Columbia-USC exchange program aims to take a focused approach to scholarship and the professional advancement of our students. Participants will be selected based on application, and priority will be given to students who are in the completing stages of their program.
The pilot conference took place on May 11-12, 2026 at the Columbia University, New York. For more information, see the program CU-USC 2026.
