As our Program Administrator, Beth provides support to JEP programs. In partnership with faculty and students, she develops community-engaged experiential education curricula for co-curricular programs and course-based projects, focusing in particular on graduate service-learning and community engagement. She has a special interest in developing reflection assignments to support student explorations of what they have learned through meaningful experiences. Prior to JEP, Beth was an Educational Developer at McMaster University in Canada. Before McMaster, she was a K-12 educator in the US, where she supported her students’ learning through inquiry. Beth graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in Political Science and received her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago with an endorsement in Middle School Education. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed working with students of all ages, from kindergarten to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
