All Human Biology major students are required to meet with their Student Services Advisor each semester. Students must receive advisement before they can register for classes.

Who Should I Contact?

    Freshmen First-Year Advising

If you are an incoming freshman, please contact the First-Year Advising Team to assist you with your transition to USC.

See the Student Advisement FAQ for answers to common questions.

Freshmen and Incoming Transfer Students in Human Biology

Early advisement is critical when planning a pre-health course of study.

If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student and intending to pursue a degree in Human Biology, information regarding contacting your student services advisor will be communicated approximately 1 month before the summer registration time you select.

Complete the D-Clearance Form before meeting with your advisor.

    Pre-Health Academic Support

A large percentage of Human Biology majors have a pre-health focus, i.e. medical, physical therapy, dental, pharmacy, etc.

If you are pursuing pre-health, we encourage you to consult the Pre-Health Academic Advising Program for additional services in the academic process.

Regularly scheduled workshops are held throughout the academic year with guest speakers on a variety of topics including academic curricula, extracurricular preparation, volunteer experiences, research involvement, and the application process for graduate programs.
