Program Information

The Department of French and Italian at USC offers students the opportunity to improve their knowledge of French language, literature, and culture – while earning four university credits this summer- during our four-week summer program.

Dijon is the capital of Burgundy, France’s most famous wine region. The city, which has a famous university, is renowned as an art and architectural center . Strategically situated at one of the leading European crossroads, Dijon is important for its commerce and industry, and is two hours southeast by train from Paris and three hours from Geneva, Switzerland. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities during their time there. Such activities include visiting the Loire castles, the road of “Grands Crus” wines, and a cooking lesson with a French chef among other things.
