Founded in 2013, the Economics Leadership Council was established to cultivate a meaningful relationship between economics alumni and the department. Today, the ELC plays a vital role in strengthening the academic community by mentoring students, building alumni networks, increasing visibility, and cultivating financial support. Their ongoing dedication continues to shape a more connected and vibrant future for the department.

In April 2023, students participated in the 8th Annual Networking Night, connecting with alumni from different industries to explore career opportunities. Alumni leaders in Banking, Consulting, Cyber Security, Data Science, Legal, Public Sector, Real Estate, Risk Management, and Wealth Management joined us for an exciting evening and shared their expertise and experience with more than sixty undergraduates.
In February 2023, the Department of Economics honored the Economics Leadership Council by hosting an evening of gratitude held inside the President’s Suite at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum celebrated the achievements our alumni helped make possible.
