Zoom Room screen replacement project
This year, DTS will evaluate and replace many of the older Zoom Room display screens. For this project, DTS will be reaching out to administrators of impacted Zoom Rooms to schedule evaluations and upgrades.
For Zoom Room questions, reach out to us anytime: DTS can provide orientations and trainings, and evaluate system functionality if you are experiencing issues.
New IT procurement specialist
We are pleased to announce that we are in the final stages of onboarding our new IT Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist. Once onboarded, they will focus on overseeing and improving the IT procurement process for hardware, software, and subscription services.
We will provide a formal introduction once they have completed the onboarding process. In the meantime, thank you for your patience over the past few months while we worked to fill this important role.
New cybersecurity training available in TrojanLearn
The USC Office of Cybersecurity is now offering a new, optional TrojanLearn training: Responsible Use of AI Tools (login required). This 20-minute session provides practical guidance on how to use AI technologies safely, ethically, and in alignment with University policies. In the fall, a required version of this training will be released.
Reminder: myDornsife now requires a secure USC connection
As of July 20, a secure USC connection is required to access myDornsife (previously, only some applications in myDornsife required this). You can use any of these options to securely connect:
- A wired USC Ethernet connection
- USC Secure Wireless
- USC VPN (when working remotely or from an off-campus location)
Receiving a connection time-out message when trying to access myDornsife? Please connect to the USC network using one of the above options, and then reload myDornsife.
