Tarra McNally
Biography
Dr. Tarra McNally was the assistant director of implementation and practice at the Center for Religion and Civic Culture at the University of Southern California through 2023, where she led evaluation and research initiatives at the intersection of faith and human development.
Tarra is a medical anthropologist with more than two decades of global health experience, and her broader research portfolio spans work-practice ethnography, healthcare organizational culture, and understanding the system and provider factors that contribute to severe maternal morbidity and mortality.
In her current role with the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Tarra works closely with faculty, campus leaders and philanthropic partners to strengthen research infrastructure, advance interdisciplinary collaborations and expand opportunities that elevate the university’s research mission.
