Welcome!
The Bridge Cell Culture Core is a facility that supports a wide range of research needs in Cell Culture.
Our areas of expertise include baculovirus expression of G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) in SF9 insect cells, mammalian expression of GPCRs in HEK- 293F suspension cells, plating of adherent cells for imaging, in addition to cell maintenance, banking, mycoplasma testing, cell culture lab set up, and consulting.
Our work has supported crystallization and structure determination of many GPCRs, antibody expressions, and soluble protein expressions in both Dr. Raymond Stevens and Dr. Vadim Cherezov labs. Our Core also supports the work of Dr. Kate White in pancreatic beta cell signaling, Dr. Corenlius Gati in cryoEM of GPCRs and solute carriers, Dr. Peter Foster in the physics of living systems (cytoskeletal activity and physical bioenergetics), and Dr. Scott Fraser Labs in imaging and molecular analysis of intact biological systems.
In addition, we welcome projects from outside labs, as we can support a variety of both adherent and suspension cell cultures in BSL1 and BSL2.
