MDA 330 – The Armenian Heritage: History, Arts, and Culture
This four-unit course offers an insightful introduction to Armenian heritage, exploring the cultural forces and historical events that have shaped the Armenian experience both in Armenia and across the global diaspora. Through a dynamic lens, students will examine contemporary challenges, cultural expressions, and the ongoing impact of history on modern Armenian life. Taught by Institute Director Dr. Shushan Karapetian, this course provides a compelling look at the complexities of Armenian culture and identity today.
There are no prerequisites, and knowledge of the Armenian language or history is not required. This course satisfies the requirements for Interdisciplinary Minor in Folklore and Popular Culture and Interdisciplinary Minor in Resistance to Genocide.
