Major: Anthropology & Environmental Studies

Ask Me About: Curious and prospective students, please ask me about my experience being a double major in Anthropology and Environmental Studies! Ask me about why I chose Anthropology, what I love about the major, and about the courses I have taken. So far, I have taken ANTH201, ANTH202, ANTH220, and ANTH370. I plan to study abroad at the University of Auckland next year, so please ask me about my interest in this program as well!
Advice: To anyone who is interested in studying the interactions and inner workings of people and culture through space and time, I would highly recommend pursuing a major or minor in Anthropology. The wide range of courses to choose from, the highly knowledgeable faculty, the close-knit department community, and the intersectionality of Anthropology make it not only enjoyable and rewarding, but applicable to almost any other field of interest. I would strongly suggest that anyone interested take an Anthropology GE and build a relationship with the professor. This will provide insight into the department through oneʻs own lens as a student and through the lens of the professor. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Anthropology department thus far, and I highly recommend anyone interested to consider joining our community!
