Welcome!

We are scientists operating at the intersection of chemistry, physics, and biology. We build tools to study living matter at the molecular level to answer fundamental questions about the chemistry and physics of life. We are driven to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, to identify new targets for drugs, and to explore how viruses mature to become infectious.

We develop novel instrumentation based on time-resolved magnetic resonance techniques to capture and interrogate short-lived, transient biomolecular structures.

We combine experimental physical chemistry, biochemistry, optics, quantum information science, and artificial intelligence in our work. We are looking for interested and motivated researchers at all levels (undergraduate, PhD, postdoc) to join us! If you are excited about (or want to learn more about) NMR and EPR spectroscopy, protein science, neurodegenerative diseases, quantum information, or fundamental biophysics, please send send a message with your CV to Blake Wilson (cbwilson@usc.edu).
