Founded in 2006 by the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience, Nu Rho Psi is the National Honor Society in Neuroscience. At the University of Southern California, the purpose of Nu Rho Psi is to encourage professional interest and excellence in neuroscience. However, we accept all Pre-Health interests into the club and anyone who is interested in learning more about neuroscience. We strive to advance the discipline of neuroscience by encouraging social interaction between the students and faculty of USC.
Anyone may join the club, but there are requirements to join the Nu Rho Psi Honors society. If you are a major or minor in neuroscience, you must have completed at least three semester of college courses with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and a neuroscience GPA of 3.5 in order to be eligible to join Nu Rho Psi.
Joining Nu Rho Psi is a wonderful way to connect with the neuroscience community within USC and to also get to know the neuroscience faculty. The events that Nu Rho Psi holds strive to achieve this and each year we hold informative and social events such as a TED talk, an undergraduate/graduate mixer, and a panel with the neuroscience faculty.
