Reserving Lab Facilities
All Experimenters
- Please be sure to estimate the space and time you’ll need based on RA and participant availability as best you can.
- All RA’s need to submit the Lab Procedures Form electronically to receive their own lock code.
- PIs, please use your own name for the reservation. If you require additional RA information, feel free to add them in the comments section.
Social Psychology Area Users
- Social Psychology graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty, and research staff havedirect access to the online scheduling system for the purpose of reserving lab space fortheir own studies, under their own name.
- If you are a social psychology graduate student, post-doc, faculty or research staff but donot have access to the online scheduling site, please contact the lab coordinator.
Guests to the Social Behavior Lab (Non-Social Psychology Area
- If you are a guest to the Social Behavior Lab, please feel free to check the SBL Online. Guest users can now reserve lab spaces for their studies.
- Submit the Lab Room Request (“Online Scheduling Tab”) electronically. Once it has been submitted, lab coordinator will provide access to the online scheduling.
- Scheduling site for room and time availability:
- Name, Phone Number, Email Address, and PI/Lab/Area
- Room(s) Desired
- Date(s) and Time(s) Desired
- Study needs (computer availability, room capacity, etc)
- Guidelines for Guest Reservations:
- Guests can reserve up to 30 hours/wk.*Note: While single testing room hours count as normal hours would, group testing room hours will be counted as 2-4 hours/hour reserved depending on the size of the space and accommodations.
- Guests can reserve a week’s worth of lab space a week before the desired reservation at the earliestEx. If you need to make room reservations for the week on Mon 6/24 – Fri 6/28. you may start making room reservations starting on Thursday, 6/20.
- Please cancel reservations at least 24 hours in advance through the lab coordinator.Properly cancelled hours will not count towards 30 hour weekly total.

Using the Lab
1. We have a dedicated Experimenter Control Room, 801J, that has a desktop computer and file cabinets for holding
study materials.
2. Please utilize the door signs attached to the room # placards. These signs help to prevent interruptions and keep the
lab running smoothly. Please also keep the doors open when rooms are not in use.
3. When you are the last person leaving the lab, please shut down the computers and turn off the lights.
Accessing Additional Resources
1. If you would like to borrow any lab resources (e.g., laptops, ipads), contact the lab coordinator.
2. If you have any questions about software availability in the SBL or would like to request training on any lab resources,
please contact Evans (evansalv@usc.edu).
