Carrie D. and C.J. Walker Endowed Scholarship:

Provides assistance for undergraduate Religion majors and minors through a merit award and/or a research and travel grant.

Writing a fabulous paper for one of your upper-division REL courses? Consider entering the Clark Award Essay Competition! Winning essays are published in the Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa.

The National Honor Society for Religious Studies – Theta Alpha Kappa:

To qualify, undergraduate students must have a 3.5 GPA (on a 4-point scale) in at least 12 semester credit hours of relevant coursework in religious studies, a 3.0 GPA overall in at least three semesters of residency, and a class rank within the top 35%. Graduate students must have completed at least half of the credit hours in their religious studies with a 3.5 GPA.

Award for Graduate Research:

If you are planning to attend a graduate program in religion or theology next fall, you may be eligible to compete for the TAK (Theta Alpha Kappa) Graduate Fellowship Award.
