  • Summary Statement of Research Interests

The ultimate goal of our lab is to understand microbial functions in the ocean and their environmental implications. To answer some of these fundamental questions we use a combination of approaches that range from studying the genome and physiology of marine bacteria in culture to environmental metagenomics/metatranscriptomics combined with analytical chemistry protocols.
