Corinna Schroeder
Biography
Corinna Schroeder is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in the Dornsife Writing Program, where she teaches undergraduate courses in writing and critical reasoning. She joined the Writing Program’s faculty in 2019 and frequently teaches Writing 150 courses in the Issues in Sustainability thematic. She also co-developed and teaches a new Writing 340 course called Writing Sustainability into Action. Outside the classroom, Professor Schroeder serves as a faculty mentor for the Arts and Climate Collective.
Dr. Schroeder holds a PhD in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Southern California, an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Mississippi, and a BFA in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Evansville. She is the author of a book of poems, Inked, which won the X. J. Kennedy Poetry Prize and was published by Texas Review Press. Her research interests include composition pedagogy, digital literacy, modern and contemporary poetry, and the novel.
