Terra Green Gold, DiplOM, L.Ac., C-IAYT, E-RYT500 is an integrative medicine practitioner, journalist, author, recording artist, and licensed acupuncturist. With a thriving clinical practice in Santa Barbara serving a diverse client base, her Terra Wellness Clinic is known for naturally treating digestive disorders, lung disorders, autoimmune conditions, and pain syndromes. She is the co-author of the internationally recognized Yoga therapy medical textbook, Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science Meets Modern Medicine and her inspiring podcast, “At Home with Terra Gold”, features social creatives, scientists, doctors, and artists passionately dedicated to spiritual growth and global issues. Terra also runs a bi-annual health and wellness program entitled “Reset and Renew” and she has advanced certificates and degrees in Integrative Body Psychotherapy, Clinical Nutrition, East/West Medicine practices and Acupuncture. She co-created the Yoga and the Healing Sciences Teacher Training Program at Loyola Marymount University in 2009 with Dr. Eden Goldman (which ran for 11 years) and she performs sacred music events throughout the West Coast having produced her own kirtan album, Sun and Moon. A California native, Terra was born in Findhorn, Scotland in an eco-village community which is the source of her deep commitment to spirituality, the arts, and transforming culture. She moved to Los Angeles at age 20, receiving a full scholarship to UCLA and designed her own program in World Arts and Cultures, which included a balanced curriculum of world music, film, theater, and dance movement therapy, with a specific emphasis on ritual and rites of passages in diverse, worldwide communities. Some of her mentors at that time included: Peter Sellers (theater and film director and composer), Dr. Judy Mitoma (director of the Sacred Music Festival of LA.), and Shiva Rea (who was receiving her MA within the same department). Before graduating from UCLA, Terra received a grant for her thesis project and produced Betwixt ‘n Between at the Freud Playhouse (560+ seat theater), a performance piece on contemporary art and modern rites-of-passages. She received the Chancellor’s Award of Excellence for her works in the field of World Arts and Cultures. Fundamental to all she shares, Terra is a mother, dedicated to serving and inspiring others to cultivate their own light from within to live vibrantly.
