Paula Tapia, C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP is an international Yoga, mindfulness, and wellness expert specializing in integrative health, self-care education, and lifestyle modifications. Paula is the Yoga Therapist, Mindfulness Advisor, and Research Associate at Attune Health, an autoimmune and inflammation care and research center in Beverly Hills, CA and she’s also the Yoga Therapist at L.A. Sports & Spine, a training and rehab in LA center focusing on orthopedic and functional assessment, acute pain management, rehabilitation, and athletic development. In addition, Paula is the Director of Beyond Rest, a clinical-based, stress-reducing Restorative Yoga Program designed for healthcare practitioners, Yoga teachers, and fitness professionals and she is the former Associate Director of The Yoga And The Healing Sciences Program at Loyola Marymount University. She has collaborated in medical scientific publications, educational books, health and lifestyle magazines and she has been featured in many Yoga publications, including being the cover model for the best-selling 2022 book, Chair Yoga For Dummies. Paula has been teaching creative and intelligent forms of movement for 30 years including dance, fitness, aqua therapy, functional movement training, preventive education and therapeutic Yoga in the lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. She bridges ancient eastern wisdom with western modern science and facilitates healing through the sacred practices of mindful movement and meditation, heartfelt breath-work, visualization, relaxation techniques, affirmation, sound and energy medicine among other healing arts. Her style of Yoga is individualized, creative, accessible and safe for everybody. She uses the mat as a portal for others to access deeper levels of awareness and connect with their true inner wisdom.
