Peripheral

ByAlison Church

Alison Church is an experimental filmmaker from Benicia, California, currently studying Film & Television Production with a minor in English at the University of Southern California. Growing up half Chinese in a small seaside town, she was shaped by a multicultural perspective and a fascination with memory, solitude, and the beauty of the mundane. Her work often explores the space between reality and imagination, where time, memory, and dreams begin to blur. Before film, she worked across photography, violin, creative writing, and arts and entertainment journalism, always drawn to observation and preservation. She sees film as a way to hold onto the fleeting and to make something transitory linger.
