Taraji

Davon Cecil is a storyteller from the heart of Kentucky, now based on Chicago’s South Side. Despite his volatile upbringing, he’s taken intentional leaps of faith that have earned him acceptance into highly competitive programs such as the Nate Parker Foundation Summer Film Institute and the inaugural Impact MENtorship class. He believes intentionality is at the heart of storytelling, centering narratives that are often overlooked, and highlighting how indispensable everyday people are in society. His mission is to breathe life into his community through holistic change by drawing on his lived experiences to tell stories of today for those who live tomorrow.
