SCREAM_COWER_PRAY
SCREAM_COWER_PRAY is a series of ceramic sculptures inspired by Oswaldo Guayasamín’s Las Manos series. Once fired, the sculptures were photogrammetrically scanned and rendered into a digital environment. Clawing and shrieking through layers upon layers of interpretation and processing, SCREAM_COWER_PRAY at once eclipses and emphasizes the human suffering documented in Guayamín’s original paintings. When do screenshots of suffering become parody of their former raw power?
