Taiwan Geodynamics Experiment
NSF Continental Dynamics
TAIGER is an international, multi-disciplinary approach to studying mountain building and arc-collision in Taiwan. Scientists from USA, Taiwan, Japan, and France have worked together to collect geophysical observations and carry out interpretive analyses.
This project integrates results from passive broadband seismology (land and marine OBS), controlled-source land explosion profiling, marine MCS and OBS, surround-island onshore-offshore profiling, magnetotellurics, petrophysical sampling for physical properties and geodynamical modeling methods.
