A new three-course initiative from USC Dornsife, USC Marshall and USC Viterbi gives undergraduates complementary perspectives on artificial intelligence: how it works, how to use it, and what it means for humanity.
Led by Jim Haw of chemistry and environmental studies, undergraduates spend two weeks exploring the Southern California desert as they learn about water and energy issues as part of a Problems Without Passports course.
During a Maymester course, 26 mostly environmental studies students in USC Dornsife who completed a Spring class teaching them how to dive are now headed to Guam and Palau.
