W.6(1) – Tuning Forks
Two tuning forks fitted on wooden resonant cases have slightly different frequencies – one of them has masking tape around the tip of one prong. They are set up facing each other and consecutively hit with a rubber hammer. As they vibrate, beats can be heard.
