MG.4(1) – Magnetic Property of Iron

A piece of iron is heated by holding it over a Bunsen burner flame. At the Curie temperature, a magnet no longer attracts it. Remove the flame from underneath it. As it cools down, the piece of iron will regain its attraction to the magnet.
