Tyson Gaskill is the executive director of communications and events at the USC Libraries, where he has overseen the libraries’ cultural programs since 2001. He oversees the conception, design, and presentation of at least four exhibitions per year at Doheny Memorial Library. These productions have recently included examinations of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” the culture (and couture?) of Maya women, the science of baseball pitching, the art of detective work, and a dystopic celebration of Thomas More’s “Utopia.” Prior to coming to USC he spent ten years at the Getty Research Institute editing books, mounting exhibitions, and producing public programs.
