USC Dornsife graduate students whose research is based in the life and physical sciences AND those posters with a USC student as the primary author will be eligible for awards.

A scoring system ranging from 1 to 5 (with 1 being top-notch and half-point increments permissible) will be employed.
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
- A detailed explanation of the study plan and methods
- Effective presentation of data gathering, analysis, and results interpretation
- A thorough presentation of primary sources with in-depth analysis
- Significance and prospective avenues
- Originality
- Relevance and Impact
- Clarity in visual presentation
- Clarity in explaining the real-world significance and/or implications of the research to a wide selection of judges (i.e. judges with and without extensive scientific backgrounds)

Multiple cash awards are given at each of the two graduate sessions. Award amounts are currently being determined.

A panel of representatives from participating corporations.

Simply bring your research poster. We will provide an easel and pins to display and present your research.

Traditional standard sizing for PhD posters (48″ x 36″) is ideal, but alternative sizes are fine, easel size permitting.

Bring your poster with you to the session you will be attending. After check-in, you will be able to set it up. Please arrive at least a half-hour before your session to set up your poster.

Smart or Business Casual Attire is strongly recommended.
