Alumni involvement has become integral to the department’s growth and success. Your generous contributions of time, talent, and financial resources have helped foster a strong economics community, enriching the educational and professional development of our current students. As we look ahead, the department is excited to offer increased opportunities for you to connect with one another and amplify your impact on the future of the field.

Economics Leadership Council (ELC)
Inspired by initiatives at other top-tier institutions, ten years ago a group of dedicated economics alumni established the Council to enrich and strengthen the student experience, enhance the department’s visibility and reputation, and cultivate financial support.
Women in Economics (WiE)
Women’s participation in economics remains lower than any other social science. Committed to closing that gender gap, a network of accomplished alumnae establish Women in Economics. In order to encourage more young women to consider degrees in economics, they sponsor annual Forums with economics alumnae industry leaders.
Make a Gift!
The Economics Opportunity Fund provides discretionary dollars that underwrite student enrichment programs, support alumni outreach activities, and enable the Chair to seize unique opportunities that elevate the academic mission. Regardless of size, your gift is a shared commitment to excellence, and we are grateful for your support.
