Tom Henkenius
Tom Henkenius is a brand builder, Emmy award-winning journalist, and founder of Henkey’s—a curated men’s grooming retailer built for the modern consumer. He previously served as Program Chair of FIDM’s Bachelor of Science in Beauty Business Management, the only program of its kind in the U.S. His work bridges storytelling, innovation, and business design to help emerging brands grow and connect with audiences.
A double Trojan, Tom earned his BA in Political Science from USC Dornsife and a second BA in Journalism from USC Annenberg in 2000. He later completed a Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business, and Technology at USC’s Iovine and Young Academy in 2019. He spent more than a decade in broadcast journalism and has taught media, marketing, and design thinking at the college level.
Tom serves on the USC Dornsife Alumni Advisory Council and previously served on the executive committee of the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors, where he co-chaired the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. He is also the most recent past president of the USC Lambda LGBT Alumni Association and co-chaired its 30th anniversary gala. In addition, Tom is a published cookbook author.
