Nupur Kumar
Nupur graduated from USC Dornsife in 1995 with a BS in Biological Sciences. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University and a Medical Degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She has been loyal to Downtown LA ever since. She completed her training in Family Medicine at the then USC/California Hospital Medical Center Residency Program. She started her career at a Federally Qualified Health Center on Figueroa and Adams and now has her own private practice and serves as Medical Director for an IPA adjacent to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Nupur continues to be involved with USC as a mentor to students pursuing medicine. She served as volunteer clinical faculty at the Keck School of Medicine teaching Introduction to Clinical Medicine to first year medical students as well as training of residents. She has also spoken at events through Alpha Epsilon Delta, Pre-Med Honor Society on campus.
She is an avid USC Football fan and loves to support the team by traveling to away games. Her father and sister are also USC Alumni and she hopes her 2 young daughters will follow in the family tradition. Nupur is very excited to serve on the council and hopes to help connect with more of the Trojan extended family.
