Kathleen Burns Campos
Kathleen is a proud graduate of USC Dornsife with a degree in History and International Relations. She embarked on her wealth advisory and portfolio management journey with Merrill Lynch. With an impressive three decades of experience, she now holds the position of Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley in Pasadena. Kathleen’s qualifications include being a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC). She also holds a master’s degree in international finance from Boston University.
Kathleen’s achievements shine as she was recognized by Forbes/Shook as one of the Best in State Wealth Advisors for 2024, 2021; Top Women Wealth Advisors in 2024, 2021 and Working Mothers Top Wealth Advisors for 2020.
Kathleen remains an engaged USC alumna, actively contributing by serving on the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors. In addition, she holds a position on the executive committee and is the 2024 co-chair of the USC 90th Alumni Awards. Kathleen is also a board member of Town & Gown of USC and the Newman Guild.
Recently, Kathleen was appointed to the Advisory Committee of Investment Responsibility, reflecting her expertise. In response to USC’s commitment to sustainability, Kathleen was one of two alumni who were chosen to be an inaugural member of the Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility (ACIR). The ACIR facilitates communication between the USC community and the USC Board of Trustees Investment Committee.
Kathleen’s remarkable contributions were formally acknowledged, earning her the President’s Award at the Volunteer Recognition Dinner in 2011. Furthermore, she was honored with the USC Alumni Association Alumni Service Award in 2021
Kathleen shares her life in Valencia with her husband, Bob, a Marshall graduate. They first met at TMB band camp during their freshman year. Their son, Devon, successfully graduated from USC Dornsife, holding a Master’s and Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, with a minor in marine biology. Kathleen is delighted to serve on the Dornsife Alumni Advisory Council.
