REGALIA
All eligible graduates are required to wear regalia in order to participate in their Dornsife ceremony. For graduates wishing to rent a cap with tassel, gown, and hood in person, the USC Bookstore will hold an in-person distribution beginning Monday, May 6, 2024, on the USC Bookstore Patio.

 

 

Days and hours:

• Monday, May 6 through Thursday, May 9 from 8:30 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

• Commencement Day, Friday, May 10 from 6:30 A.M. – 9:00 A.M.

Cap and Gown Specialists will be present to provide assistance the bottom of the bookstore stairs closest to TCC. Please visit Rent Regalia (uscbookstore.com) for more information.

HONOR CORDS
USC Dornsife recognizes those students who have excelled academically by providing honor cords to be worn on Commencement Day. To qualify, a student must be eligible to graduate and have a minimum of a 3.5 University GPA at the beginning of Spring semester 2023.

All students who meet the qualifications will receive an email in mid-April with instructions for picking up honor cords.

DISABILITY RELATED ACCOMODATIONS
For the in-person Dornsife ceremonies, should you or your guests require disability seating or services, please click here to submit a request. The deadline to submit a request is Friday, May 3, 2024.

Guests will be required to check-in.

CEREMONY REHEARSAL
A student rehearsal will be held the week of commencement on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. on the Allyson Felix Field for graduates participating in the Dornsife ceremonies on Friday, May 10, 2024. Rehearsal is not mandatory, but encouraged so graduates can learn more about their “day-of” commencement experience.

The Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony does not have a rehearsal.

GUEST SEATING
Tickets will be required to access campus and all commencement events taking place on May 8-11, 2024. Graduating students will be able to reserve, free of charge, tickets for themselves and up to eight named guests. Tickets will not be transferrable. There will be an appeal process if more tickets are needed. Ticket reservations will begin early next week.

All USC Dornsife Departments hold a reception for graduates and their families.

DAY-OF PARKING
For more information on parking, please visit https://commencement.usc.edu/guests/transportation/. Note that traffic is expected to be heavy, so allow plenty of time to locate parking, go through security and make your way to the ceremony site.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
We recommend graduates and guests come prepared with comfortable shoes, hat, sunscreen, water, and light snacks. All items are to be kept in a clear bag per the clear bag policy.

We also recommend fully charging your devices before heading to the ceremony and packing lightly.

COMMENCEMENT PROGRAMS
Virtual programs will be available online and accessible via QR code on Commencement Day. Guests will have the option to print from home, should they wish to have a paper copy after the event.
