Biography

Daisy Reid is a graduate student in the Comparative Literature track. Her work focuses on contemporary speculative and science fiction, with broad research interests in the environmental and insect humanities; plant theory; posthumanism; critical race, queer, and feminist theory; and animal studies. She holds a BA in French and Italian from University College London and an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of Amsterdam. Daisy is an alumnus of Rosi Braidotti’s intensive “Posthuman Knowledge” summer school at the University of Utrecht and has also been a participant in the Plant Humanities summer program at Dumbarton Oaks, DC.
