Biography

Daisy Reid is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California. Her dissertation, “On Vegetables and Vermin,” considers how encounters between plants and insects give rise to relational schemas for the construction and regulation of human bodies from the sixteenth century to the present. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Green Letters, L’Esprit Créateur, Victorian Literature and Culture, and H-Net.
