A recap of the lab’s first conference trip!
Dr. Sandy LaTourrette and lab manager Idella Smolyar presented at the 7th Annual California Meeting on Psycholinguistics on November 16th and 17th. Sandy presented a poster on the development of cross-situational polyseme learning and Idella on how word labels and tone of voice interact in kid’s emotion categorization.
The lab tagged along with several faculty and grad students from USC’s Linguistics Department such as Dr. Canaan Breiss, Dr. Elsi Kaiser, Yue Chen, Esra Eldem-Tunç, Metehan Oğuz, Anna Runova, Elena Savinova, and JK Subramony.
