Our Signature Initiative

Bringing the expertise of our scholars beyond the academy walls.

USC Dornsife Scholars can have a tremendous impact not only driving forward their cutting-edge fields of study and educating our next generation of students, but also in addressing our most pressing societal problems. USC Dornsife’s signature initiative, Academy in the Public Square, brings scholarship taking place at universities into the public sphere. Our goal is to demonstrate a new way for research universities to be go-to source for expertise that addresses complex issues such as climate change, affordable housing and public health.

    The USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future aims to reduce political polarization through thoughtful discourse with leaders on the left and the right, the application of research-based solutions and the education of tomorrow’s leaders.

    At USC Dornsife, researchers aim to stop the progression of debilitating conditions, send them into remission, and prevent them from happening to begin with.     Public Exchange

    As a first-of-its-kind program based at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Public Exchange connects partners with the right team of USC researchers, defines a scope and timeline, and provides project management from start to finish. Our model provides Public Exchange partners with the data, analysis and evidence-based recommendations they need to solve big challenges.
