
Kalpakian and Keyan Scholarships Now Open
USC Dornsife Continuing Student Scholarships
Every year, the Institute offers merit-based scholarships for continuing undergraduate students with Dornsife majors. The Harry and Helen Kalpakian Scholarship and the Charlie Keyan Scholarship are awarded to students who demonstrate the ability or desire to further the interests of individuals of Armenian descent in liberal arts education.
Last year, the Institute granted 6 scholarships totaling $16,800 to deserving undergraduate students.
To apply, you must:
- Have a declared USC Dornsife major during the application process
- Be a full-time undergraduate student during the application process and the 2025–2026 academic year (students graduating in Fall 2025 are eligible).
- Have a minimum cumulative USC GPA of 3.0 (requirement waived for spring admits starting Spring 2025)
Important Deadlines:
Wednesday, February 19, 2025: Deadline to submit the Dornsife Faculty Recommendation Request Form to the Dornsife Admission and Student Success office
Friday, March 14, 2025: Deadline to submit your application for a Dornsife Continuing Student Scholarship. This is also the deadline for your faculty recommender to submit their recommendation for you.
The application process is through the USC Dornsife Continuing Student Scholarships which is a single application used to apply for a range of scholarships offered to continuing undergraduate students with a major in USC Dornsife.
Please note the Kalpakian scholarship has a supplemental essay prompt: Please discuss how your involvement in the Armenian community and/or engagement with Armenian Studies have influenced your personal growth and future career plans.
