Victoria Chebotaeva
Biography
My name is Victoria Chebotaeva, and I am a Teaching Fellow at the University of Southern California. I received my Specialist degree (B.S.+M.S.) in Mathematics from Moscow State University in 2018. I recently earned my PhD in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina, where my research focused on Mathematical Modeling in Epidemics.
During my PhD, I worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Instructor of Record for various undergraduate courses in the Mathematics Department, including Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work in a unique program for first-generation students. I mentored international PhD students, helping them adjust to their roles as TAs and acclimate to the university environment. I also worked with second-year PhD students, guiding them through teaching reflections and supporting their transition from TA to instructor.
