We combine innovative genetic approaches with optogenetic, electrophysiological and super-resolution imaging techniques to gain insight into the molecular underpinnings of synaptic function. More specifically, we are interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms that govern synaptic plasticity and neuronal function and how dysregulation of these mechanisms gives rise to psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
