SSI’s Yolanda Gil appointed to National Science Board
United States President Joe Biden announced the appointment of Dr. Yolanda Gil, Research Professor of Computer Science and Spatial Sciences, to the National Science Board.
As a member of National Science Board, she will help set the policy and direction for the National Science Foundation and also provide advice to the US President and the US Congress on science and technology matters.
Dr. Gil has been at the forefront of the advancement of computing technology. She is the Director of the Center on AI Research for Health and Director for AI and Data Science Initiatives with the USC Information Sciences Institute.
The Spatial Sciences Institute warmly congratulates Dr. Gil on these recognitions of her leadership and expertise.
