Summary Statement of Research Interests
Professor Saks specializes in mental health law, criminal law, and family law; she is being trained as a psychoanalyst. Her recent publications include Jekyll on Trial: Multiple Personality Disorder and Criminal Law (with Stephen Behnke), Interpreting Interpretation: The Limits of Hermeneutic Psychoanalysis and “Competency to Decide on Treatment and Research: MacArthur and Beyond” (with Stephen H. Behnke). Prior to joining the faculty, she practiced family law with Connecticut Legal Services.
