“This piece is meant to represent the gore, pain, and decay of self. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and I wanted to create a piece that resembled my feeling towards in and express this feeling to the general public on femininity and sexual assault. which have molded into a similar feeling to butchered meat–used, abused, and consumed for others’ pleasure. The piece is like a bloody cocoon that has consumed me whole, as I yearn to break the impenetrable flesh.”
