The Race Home

In the 14th Malaysian General Election, overseas voters received their ballots late. What followed was an incredible online movement to bring thousands of votes from abroad back to Malaysia.

“The Race Home” documents the journey of one of these ballots.

Ging Chen Sow, director, is a filmmaker from Penang, Malaysia. He is passionate about the social and cultural issues that affect his home country, and he hopes to one day bring Malaysian stories to the international stage.

Chad Buley, animator, is a freshman studying Cinema & Media Studies at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He has a background in documentaries, sport broadcasting, and stop motion animation, and he currently works as an editor, animator, and writer.
