The Guide

Felipe Vargas is a South Floridian-Colombian filmmaker, born in Bogota and raised near Miami, now a Film Production student at USC. He is shaped by his Hispanic heritage of familial values and Catholicism, by the unique natural surroundings of vast oceans and swamps, by a passion for traveling, and, of course, by a massive love for the movies! His short-form work has received state and national recognition, receiving first place in various competitions and screening at over 25 national and international film festivals. Felipe has a keen interest in magical realism as a dream-like exploration of memories and relationship. Felipe hopes to direct visually-driven commercials and independent features in the near future.
