“I created this video for a project on the topic of Memory, in which I touch on the idea of false nostalgic ideals within the Vaporwave realm. This genre, born from a longing for a commercialized 80s/90s past, is interesting to me, having been born only in the latter half of the 90s. An amalgamation of these tropes is personified by a creepy man, making fun of the generalized nature of the time period. It’s a fascination with a world that I’ll never know.”
