USC Dornsife scholars venture around the world in pursuit of answers

This summer, researchers at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences turned the world into a laboratory, traveling across continents to pursue questions on a range of topics, from ancient civilizations and human behavior to climate change, quantum physics and the inner workings of our planet.

The projects are part of a broad USC Dornsife research footprint that stretched across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Working in laboratories, museums, archives, communities and field sites, faculty members and students gathered data, forged international collaborations and took advantage of resources and expertise available only on location — bringing new perspectives to questions with implications both locally and around the world.
