Dr. Saxbe gets many, many requests for recommendation letters. As a general rule, she only writes letters for students who have volunteered or worked in her lab.

If you’d like to request a letter, please get in touch with her and send her the following information:

  • A current CV or resume
  • A copy (rough draft is fine) of your personal statement or cover letter for the program or position of interest
  • A brief description of what you did in the lab (what projects you worked on, visits you helped run, skills you acquired, etc.) and what you found interesting or useful about the experience
  • If requesting multiple letters, a clear description of which programs and their deadlines (a spreadsheet or Google sheet can be helpful)
  • Instructions on how to submit the letter

This information will help Dr. Saxbe write you a stronger letter and ensure that it is submitted on time!
