The graduate colloquium features a series of talks presented by grad students, for grad students. Its primary aim is to offer an overarching understanding of various research areas within the department, conveyed in an approachable manner.

Once you’ve chosen a suitable date and time, please coordinate with Inga at girshfel@usc.edu. And once scheduled, reach out promptly so we can secure a venue and promote your talk on the department calendar.

We encourage all students to consider this opportunity. Presenting equips you with invaluable skills, such as articulating complex topics in a digestible manner. Moreover, you don’t need extensive research experience to participate. For instance, first and second-year students can delve into and share insights on a research direction that piques their interest, benefiting the grad student community.
